NCR and Subtotal POS Systems to Offer SUBWAY^® Restaurant Chain Approved Point-of-Sale Solution

Reseller Subtotal POS Systems to offer NCR RealPOS™ as part of total SUBWAY chain solution

ATLANTA – The SUBWAY restaurant chain, the world’s second largest fast-food franchise, has named NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR) an approved point-of-sale (POS) solution provider. The NCR RealPOS™ 70 product line will be sold exclusively through Subtotal POS Systems Ltd., a Nova Scotia-based reseller, to the SUBWAY chain’s 24,000 franchisees worldwide.

Subtotal’s arrangement with NCR will allow the company to offer a fully integrated POS solution designed specifically for the hospitality quick-service environment. The NCR
RealPOS 70 is built around Intel’s EmbeddedATX specification, providing a stable POS platform and extended lifecycle through the use of an industry-standard motherboard design. The NCR RealPOS 70 POS solution with a 15” Touch Screen will be offered using Intel^’s Pentium 4 processor.
